On 12 January 2023, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, and Mr. Pakorn Kumpornlua, First Secretary, welcomed Mr. Manuel Galan, External Relations Manager, and Mrs. Monica Fornells, Coordinator of the Port of Barcelona.

On this occasion, the Chargé d'affaires a.i. and Mr. Galan had a discussion on the outcomes of the Port of Barcelona delegation's visit to Thailand between 22-28 October 2022. The delegation consisted of more than 40 representatives of the Catalonia public and private sector. The aforementioned activity was succcesfully organised and is deemed one of the major drivers bringing Thai-Spain economic relations even more closer. Mr. Galan expressed appreciation for the Embassy's cooperation in assisting with the coordination of related Thai agencies for the visit as well as reiterated commitment to further enhance concrete cooperation between the two countries' public and private agencies in the future.
